After months of intensive negotiations, on February 2 the European Commission and the United States announced agreement on a new framework for transatlantic data flows: the EU-US Privacy Shield. This new framework will protect the rights of Europeans when their data is transferred to the United States and provide a path to legal certainty for the thousands of businesses that had previously relied on Safe Harbor for their international data transfers.

Watch this on-demand webinar recording today to hear directly from the Department of Commerce on the new EU-US Privacy Shield framework. The speakers will address:

  • What companies will need to do to comply with the new Framework
  • What the differences are with the old Safe Harbor

The webinar will be followed by a demo of TRUSTe’s EU Data Transfer Assessment which will ensure compliance with the Privacy Shield once details are made available.
